Zelestra signs long-term PPA with Abastible for 220 MWdc solar and 1 GWh storage project

Zelestra signed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Abastible in March 2025 for its 220 MWdc photovoltaic plant integrated with a 1 GWh battery storage system, known as Aurora, located in Pozo Almonte, Tarapacá, Chile. This PPA will facilitate the supply of stored solar energy during nighttime hours, primarily to Abastible's clients, which include small and medium-sized enterprises. The project is expected to generate approximately 600 GWh of renewable electricity annually, enough to power around 200,000 Chilean homes.
