Zenith Energy delivers 90 MW off-grid hybrid power station to Bellevue Gold’s mine, enabling 155 consecutive hours of 100% renewable energy operations

Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Hybrid · Country: Australia · Capacity: 90 MW · Announced: 2026-06-22

Zenith Energy delivered a 90 MW off-grid hybrid power station to Bellevue Gold’s namesake gold mine in Western Australia’s northern Goldfields region, integrating 27 MW of solar, 24 MW of wind, a 15 MW / 30 MWh battery energy storage system, and 24 MW of thermal back-up generation. The microgrid enabled the mine to operate for 155 consecutive hours—six-and-a-half days—entirely on renewable energy in May 2026, achieving a 100% renewable energy milestone. The system was designed to meet at least 80% of the mine’s 24-hour energy needs with renewables, with solar providing strong daytime output, wind complementing evening demand, and the battery smoothing variability. Bellevue Gold’s managing director Darren Stralow stated the renewable energy solution is central to the company’s strategy to become Australia’s first net-zero gold producer by 2026, positioning it for a competitive advantage in global investment markets.
