Intermountain Power Agency (IPA) is a public power agency formed by the State of Utah in 1977. It is responsible for financing, constructing, operating, and maintaining the Intermountain Power Project (IPP), which supplies electricity to municipalities in Utah and California. IPA is currently undertaking a major transition of the IPP from coal to a natural gas and green hydrogen-fueled power plant.
