ACME Group signs 10-year green ammonia purchase agreement with SECI for 370,000 tpa capacity
ACME Group has signed a 10-year binding green ammonia purchase agreement (GAPA) with the Solar Energy Corp. of India (SECI) for 370,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) of green ammonia capacity. The estimated contract value over the 10-year period is INR 20,000 crore, marking a key milestone in India’s transition to low-carbon industrial feedstocks. ACME will establish a green ammonia facility in Odisha to supply the contracted capacity to six major fertilizer facilities across five states in India. SECI, acting as an intermediary aggregator, has executed corresponding green ammonia sale agreements (GASA) with leading fertilizer companies, ensuring long-term demand visibility and supply stability for the project. This agreement is a result of the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Scheme, India’s first green hydrogen and ammonia procurement program.
