Alight acquires 79MWp solar and 55MW battery storage project in Denmark from GreenGo Energy
Alight completed the acquisition of a 79MWp solar and 55MW battery storage project in Kalundborg, Denmark, from GreenGo Energy. The hybrid facility combines a utility-scale solar park with a co-located battery energy storage system, enabling time-shifting of electricity to align renewable power generation with demand. The project is expected to produce approximately 95GWh annually and marks Alight's first integrated solar and storage development in Denmark. GreenGo Energy will continue as the development partner through to the ready-to-build stage, with completion anticipated in 2028. The acquisition supports Alight's target of reaching at least 5GW of installed capacity by 2030, expanding its Nordic portfolio.
