ANDRITZ secures electromechanical equipment supply contract with CABA Group for Cizre hydropower plant in Türkiye
ANDRITZ secured a turnkey electromechanical equipment supply contract from CB Elektrik Üretim Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., a subsidiary of CABA Group, for the Cizre hydropower plant in Türkiye. The deal, valued in the low three-digit million euro range, includes five Francis turbine-generator sets, auxiliary equipment, and an ECO-flow unit with a combined capacity of 339 MW. ANDRITZ will provide engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation, and commissioning under a 'from water-to-wire' contract. The project will feature one of the most efficient Francis turbine runner designs, with each unit rated at 64 MW and an additional 19 MW from the ECO-flow unit at a maximum head of 36 m and rated speed of 111 rpm. The hydropower plant is expected to strengthen Türkiye’s renewable energy capacity and grid resilience while supporting the country’s net-zero targets.
