Antin Acquires Sapphire Gas Solutions from Apollo Funds
Antin Infrastructure Partners has acquired Sapphire Gas Solutions, a vertically integrated provider of compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) solutions, from funds managed by affiliates of Apollo. The acquisition, made by Antin’s Flagship Fund V, positions Sapphire to capitalize on growing energy demand in the US, particularly from utility, commercial & industrial (C&I), and renewable natural gas (RNG) customers. Sapphire operates in 30 US states, serving over 120 customers with specialized infrastructure for compressing, liquefying, transporting, and storing CNG and LNG. The deal underscores Antin’s strategy to invest in resilient, low-carbon energy infrastructure, while Apollo exits its investment after supporting Sapphire’s operational and financial growth.
