Arm Holdings launches AGI CPU chip production with TSMC and partners with Meta, OpenAI, SAP, Cerebras, Cloudflare, and SK Telecom

Partnership Data Center announced Taiwan Mar 24, 2026

Arm Holdings unveiled its first complete production chip, the Arm AGI CPU, marking a strategic shift from IP licensing into full silicon development. Manufactured by TSMC using advanced 3nm process technology, the chip is designed specifically for AI data center workloads and is expected to reach full production availability in the second half of 2026. The launch customer list includes Meta, OpenAI, SAP, Cerebras, Cloudflare, and SK Telecom, all of which have received samples. Arm's turnkey solution provides complete production-ready silicon with pre-validated performance characteristics, reference board designs, and a full software stack, enabling customers to deploy data centers within six to nine months compared to three to five years for custom CPU development. This move positions Arm to capture more downstream value while protecting its architectural relevance in the semiconductor ecosystem. The AGI CPU represents a new baseline for validated silicon without custom design investment, creating a three-tier ecosystem that balances standardization with customization flexibility.
