Australian Ethical Investment Growth Opportunities Fund secures A$625 million seed and cornerstone commitments for climate-focused private markets investments
Australian Ethical Investment launched the Australian Ethical Investment Growth Opportunities Fund with a A$500 million seed investment from itself and a cornerstone commitment of up to A$125 million from the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC). The fund targets wholesale investors and focuses on private market investments aligned with decarbonization, digitalization, urbanization, circular economy, and changing demographics. CEFC Executive Director Heechung Sung highlighted the fund's role in establishing a scalable platform for climate-focused assets to accelerate Australia's decarbonization efforts. The fund aims to deliver 11%–13% annual returns over seven years with quarterly liquidity, targeting measurable impact alongside market-rate returns.
