Canadian fuel cell specialist Ballard Power Systems has received a new order for 500 FCmove-HD+ fuel cell modules, totaling 50 MW, from North American bus manufacturer New Flyer. These modules will be deployed in New Flyer’s Xcelsior Charge FC hydrogen fuel cell buses across North America, with deliveries scheduled to begin this year. This represents the largest order placed under the existing framework agreement between Ballard and NFI, New Flyer's parent company, which dates back to January 2024.
