BayWa r.e. completed the divestment of two operational wind assets totaling 80 MW, including the 30 MW Kamionka wind farm in Poland sold to ENGIE Zielona Energia and the 48.8 MW Vallelunga wind farm project in Italy sold to Alerion. The Kamionka project, operational since March 2012, consists of 12 turbines each with 2.5 MW capacity and supplies electricity equivalent to 27,115 Polish households annually. The Vallelunga project, authorized in January 2025, spans municipalities in Sicily and is expected to generate 120 GWh of net electricity per year, powering approximately 45,000 households. ENGIE Zielona Energia will take over asset management for Kamionka, while Alerion will lead detailed design, technology selection, construction, and turbine installation for Vallelunga. The transactions underscore BayWa r.e.'s strategy to monetize mature assets and partner with diversified investors across Europe, as noted by Dr. Daniel Gaefke, COO of BayWa r.e.
