Beacon Data Centers has larger plans for 1.8 GW of capacity across five locations in Alberta. Beacon claims to have acquired more than 1,600 acres of land and to have some 2GW of power in the pipeline. Beacon has a pending application for a 1.5 GW natural gas-fired power plant near Calgary, known as the Indus Project Thermal Power Plant.
