Bilfinger to Assemble and Install bp’s Green Hydrogen Facility in Lingen
Bilfinger has been selected as part of a consortium to support bp's 100 MW green hydrogen project in Lingen, Germany. Bilfinger will handle the prefabrication, assembly, and installation of key plant components for bp’s new green hydrogen electrolyzer facility. The project, bp’s largest green hydrogen production plant globally, aims to produce up to 11,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually using renewable energy. The hydrogen will be supplied to industrial customers and used at the neighboring bp refinery to produce lower-emission fuels, supporting Germany’s decarbonization objectives. Commissioning is scheduled for 2027.
