Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Data Center · Country: Finland · Value: $387.8M · Announced: 2026-08-31

Bull was selected by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) and the LUMI AI Factory consortium to deliver the €387.8 million LUMI-AI supercomputer in Finland, marking a €387.8 million supply agreement for advanced AI infrastructure. The system, hosted at CSC's data center in Kajaani, Finland, will provide a tenfold increase in AI capacity and nearly double the high-performance computing capability of the existing LUMI supercomputer, with deployment scheduled for the second half of 2027. Powered by AMD Instinct MI430X GPUs and 6th Gen AMD EPYC 256-core processors, LUMI-AI will support industrial innovation, scientific research, and advanced AI applications across Europe. The project is funded equally by EuroHPC JU and the LUMI AI Factory consortium, which includes Finland, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Norway, and Poland. Bull's Direct Liquid Cooling solution will maximize energy efficiency by capturing excess heat for reuse in Kajaani's district heating network, ensuring the system operates entirely on renewable electricity.
