Bull signs €30m, five-year contract for Mimer supercomputer in Sweden

Bull has announced a €30 million, five-year contract to provide AI-optimized infrastructure for the Mimer supercomputer at Sweden's Mimer AI factory. Housed at Linköping University's National Academic Infrastructure for Supercomputing in Sweden (NAISS), in partnership with the Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE), the supercomputer will be based on Bull's BullSequana XH3500 architecture. The system was procured by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking and co-funded by the Digital Europe Programme and the Swedish Research Council. This system will be the first to include accelerators from Edge AI hardware startup Axelera AI, and Bull will deliver an integrated AI infrastructure including cloud-enabled supercomputing resources, advanced software layers, and dedicated vertical expertise. Bull will also be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and providing training to end users and teams at NAISS.
