BW Velora, a digital infrastructure development firm established by BW Group's BW Digital and BW ESS units, entered into a partnership with Frier Vest to develop a 250MW data center at the Frier Vest industrial park in Grenland, Telemark County, Norway. The project will be built at the new Frier Vest industrial park, a 1,800-acre site near the Frierfjord fjord, which is owned by Grenland Havn, SIVA, and Bamble Municipality. The agreement marks the first step in realizing the industrial area's future ambitions, which include digital infrastructure as a prerequisite for new industrial establishments. BW Velora, focused on developing sites in the Nordic region and Canada, brings expertise in digital infrastructure, while Frier Vest provides the industrial estate infrastructure. The project leverages Norway's access to renewable power and strong logistics connections, positioning the region as an attractive location for large-scale industrial developments.
