ClearVue Technologies and Helios Power Solutions secure IEC certification for metal-backed solar panels under global distribution agreement
ClearVue Technologies and Helios Power Solutions achieved International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) certification for their metal-backed building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) panels, validating compliance with global safety, durability, and performance standards. The partnership, governed by a global distribution agreement, focuses on rooftop and car park solar solutions engineered for metal rooftops, delivering over 220 W per square metre. ClearVue’s panels are available in lightweight aluminium-backed (5 kg per square metre) or trafficable steel-backed versions, with a proprietary mounting system that reduces building temperatures by up to 30% while enhancing fire safety. The certification milestone accelerates commercial deployment in Australia and international markets, with Clean Energy Council (CEC) approval now underway for local market entry. ClearVue’s CEO Douglas Hunt highlighted the collaboration’s focus on improving installation efficiency and product performance, with additional cooperative products under development to unify their market offerings across Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
