The short route will operate both ways within live traffic and is intended as the next step in the city’s plan to establish a lower-cost, lower-impact alternative to conventional tram systems. Colas Rail says it will use a “construction‑led” approach to accelerate delivery, reduce risk and limit disruption for local businesses and residents.
