Constellation signs 175 MW solar PPA with Johns Hopkins University, McCormick & Company, and TJX Companies
Constellation signed a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) to supply 175 MW of solar power from the Skipjack Solar Center in Virginia to three commercial customers: Johns Hopkins University, McCormick & Company, and TJX Companies. The project, developed by sPower, is expected to come online in 2021 and will provide renewable energy certificates (RECs) to the offtakers. Constellation's CORe product simplified the contracting process, enabling the aggregation of multiple customers into a single deal. The agreement will help the customers meet their sustainability goals and reduce greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to removing nearly 34,000 cars off the road annually.
