Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners agrees to sell 100% stake in Summerfield battery energy storage project to Palisade Investment Partners via Intera Renewables
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) agreed to sell its 100% ownership stake in the 240 MW / 960 MWh Summerfield battery energy storage project in South Australia to Palisade Investment Partners through Intera Renewables. The transaction marks CIP’s exit from the project, which is now in the late stages of construction near Adelaide. Summerfield was originally acquired by CIP in 2022, and since then, the company completed key development workstreams including offtake agreements, procurement, and grid connection before starting construction in February 2025. Construction is now materially complete, with energisation expected in May 2026 and commercial operations scheduled for later in 2026. CIP highlighted its role in de-risking the project throughout development and construction, demonstrating its ability to deliver value across the project lifecycle.
