Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) awarded Fugro a geotechnical site investigation contract for the 600 MW Fengmiao 2 offshore wind farm in Taiwan. Under the agreement, Fugro will deliver a full suite of geotechnical investigation services to support the wind farm's design and development, with offshore fieldwork scheduled for completion in Q3 2026 using the Taiwan-flagged vessel Pacific Hornbill. The project, located 40 kilometers off Taichung City, is part of Taiwan's Round 3.2 offshore wind tender, which includes five projects totaling 2.7 GW. Grid connection for Round 3.2 projects is planned between 2028 and 2030. The Fengmiao 2 development is led by Copenhagen Offshore Partners (COP) on behalf of CIP, which is also developing the adjacent 495 MW Fengmiao 1 project scheduled for completion in 2027.
