Crusoe expands partnership with Redwood Materials for microgrid systems

AI data center developer Crusoe has expanded its strategic partnership with battery energy storage firm Redwood Materials. This expansion will see Crusoe increase the deployment of microgrid systems, utilizing repurposed electric vehicle batteries, from four to 24 Crusoe Spark modular data centers. The partnership aims to scale AI infrastructure rapidly and cost-effectively by integrating innovative energy solutions with modular data center deployment. The system has demonstrated high operational availability, validating the use of repurposed EV batteries for high-performance compute workloads.
