DataBank and Goodman Group form joint venture to develop 32-megawatt data center in Los Angeles
DataBank, a provider of enterprise-class colocation, interconnection and managed services, and Goodman Group, a global provider of digital infrastructure, formed a joint venture to develop a new 32-megawatt data center facility in Vernon, California. The Vernon Data Center will address the severe supply constraints in the Los Angeles data center market, catering to demand from cloud, AI, and enterprise customers. Goodman Group acquired the Vernon site in 2023 and secured power, planning, and entitlements, while DataBank will operate the facility, marking its second data center in the Los Angeles market. The project is part of Goodman’s $12.4 billion global development pipeline spanning industrial and low-latency data centers across the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Australia. The first 6 megawatts are expected to come online in December 2026, with the remaining 26 megawatts phased in through September 2027.
