DeepOcean secures inter-array cable installation contract for TPC Phase II offshore wind farm in Taiwan
Norwegian subsea services company DeepOcean secured a contract to provide inter-array cable installation support for the 295 MW TPC Phase II offshore wind project in Taiwan. The scope includes engineering, project management, and installation of inter-array cables using the chartered vessel Orient Adventurer, which has been upgraded with specialized cable-laying equipment. DeepOcean will collaborate with Dong Fang Offshore, which will provide subsea vessel support for the project execution. The work commenced immediately and is scheduled for completion in 2026, with local management handled by DeepOcean's offshore renewables team and European cable installation specialists. The TPC-II project, located 6.5–20 kilometers off Lukang in Changhua County, will feature 31 Vestas 9.5 MW turbines installed on jacket foundations, connected via three 66 kV inter-array cable loops to an offshore substation.
