Econergy connects 52MW Resko solar project in Poland under Apple virtual PPA

Econergy Renewable Energy has successfully connected its 52MW Resko solar project in Poland, securing a 19-year virtual power purchase agreement with Apple for a substantial portion of its output. This long-term vPPA provides Apple with renewable energy credits covering approximately 75% of the Polish facility's electricity generation, directly advancing the tech giant's global operational decarbonization objectives. For Econergy, the agreement offers significant revenue certainty over nearly two decades for a substantial portion of the Resko plant's generation, effectively de-risking a large part of the solar project's output. The 19-year term represents a notable commitment, providing long-term stability for the 52MW asset in the European market. This operational connection in Poland further expands Econergy's substantial European portfolio, which includes over 16 GW of solar PV and wind projects and 10 GWh of battery storage in its pipeline. The Tel Aviv-based IPP demonstrates its capability to execute utility-scale renewable energy developments across various European geographies. Apple's consistent strategy of directly sourcing renewable energy for its operations is evident in this 19-year commitment, aligning with its stated goal of carbon neutrality across its infrastructure investments.
