Edify Energy awarded engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts to Gamuda company DT Infrastructure for two massive solar and battery energy storage projects in Queensland. The projects include the Smoky Creek and Guthrie’s Gap power stations, featuring 600 MW of solar and 600 MW / 2,400 MWh of battery storage, and the Ganymirra and Majors Creek power stations, with a combined 300 MW of solar and 300 MW / 1,200 MWh of battery energy storage. These developments, totaling 1.8 GW of solar and 3.6 GWh of battery storage, will utilize DC-coupled hybrid configurations and grid-forming inverter technologies to enhance grid stability. Construction is expected to commence by mid-year, with delivery and operations targeted for 2028, contributing significantly to Queensland's energy system and local economies.
