Enercon finalized a contract with RT Enerji to deliver 20 E-175 EP5 E2 wind turbines totaling 140MW for the Aydin–Denizli wind farm in Türkiye. The agreement, signed on April 22, 2026, at the WindEurope trade fair in Madrid, marks Enercon’s first collaboration with RT Enerji and introduces the E-175 EP5 E2 turbine model to the Turkish market. Each turbine has a nominal power of 7.0MW and a 175-meter rotor diameter, positioning the project as a flagship deployment of the new technology. Construction is scheduled to begin in April 2027, with commercial operation expected by October 2027. The project is part of Türkiye’s YEKA 5 tender program, awarded to RT Enerji by the Turkish Ministry of Energy, underscoring the government’s push for renewable energy expansion. Enercon’s CEO Udo Bauer highlighted the strategic significance of entering the Turkish market with a flagship turbine model, while RT Enerji’s CEO Bekir Korkmaz emphasized the partnership’s role in advancing Türkiye’s renewable energy infrastructure.
