Enrich secures EPC and O&M contract with NTPC Ltd for 290 MWh BESS project at Simhadri Thermal Power Station
Enrich has secured a turnkey contract with NTPC Ltd to implement a 290 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at NTPC’s Simhadri Thermal Power Station in Andhra Pradesh. Under the agreement, Enrich will handle end-to-end BESS installation, integration with existing thermal infrastructure, and provide remote monitoring, control systems, and operations and maintenance (O&M) services. The scope includes battery systems, battery management systems (BMS), energy management systems (EMS), SCADA, power conversion systems (PCS), and inverter-duty transformers. The project represents Enrich’s entry into the energy storage segment, following previously secured BESS orders from private commercial and industrial (C&I) clients. Ankit Kanchal, managing director of Enrich, highlighted the company’s developed BESS EPC capabilities and critical supply chain relationships with both local and global partners.
