enspired, a Vienna-based AI-driven energy trading platform, formed an exclusive partnership with Energreen Trading, a subsidiary of Energie SpA, to optimize Italy's battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. The collaboration targets a 962 MW pipeline, with several hundred megawatts expected to reach commercial operation within 12-24 months. enspired will provide cross-market optimization across Italy's wholesale energy markets (MGP and MI), balancing and redispatching services (MSD/MB), FCR, and aFRR markets, alongside prequalification support and algorithmic trading execution. Energreen Trading, which brought 300 MW to 'ready-to-build' status in 2025, will leverage enspired's platform to monetize assets through tailored commercial strategies ranging from merchant models to tolling agreements with established buyers and infrastructure funds. The partnership was announced at the Renmad Storage Italia 2026 event in Bologna, where enspired presented revenue simulations indicating potential annual earnings of up to €180,000 per MW for 4-hour batteries in Northern Italy in 2025.
