Entergy Louisiana and Meta have signed an agreement to support Metas hyperscale data center in Richland Parish, Louisiana, scalable to 5 GW. Meta will fund 5,200 MW of gas generation, 240 miles of 500 kV transmission, battery storage, nuclear upgrades, and up to 2,500 MW of solar. The deal generates $2.65 billion in customer savings over 20 years.
