Exomad Green and Supercritical sign 500,000-ton biochar carbon removal offtake agreement
Carbon removal provider Exomad Green and carbon removal marketplace Supercritical signed a three-year biochar carbon removal (BCR) agreement, under which Supercritical will purchase up to 500,000 tons of BCR credits sourced from Exomad Green’s facilities in Bolivia. The agreement expands their existing collaboration, with Supercritical having already facilitated the sale of over 100,000 tons of Exomad Green credits to date. Exomad Green converts waste biomass from sustainably sourced forestry residues into biochar, which is delivered to local communities for agricultural soil improvement programs. The company currently operates two biochar facilities in Bolivia, with a third facility under construction and expected to come online later in 2026.
