FixMap, backed by Arcus Infrastructure Partners, acquires Skynet to consolidate Polish FTTH market

FixMap, a Warsaw-based geospatial data and surveying company founded in 2011, is making a significant strategic pivot by acquiring Skynet for €150 million, moving beyond its traditional infrastructure inventory services into direct fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network ownership. This acquisition adds 480,000 homes passed to FixMap's footprint, primarily targeting underserved regions across Poland, at an implied valuation of approximately €312.5 per home passed. The deal allows FixMap to integrate its existing expertise in infrastructure mapping and GIS systems with direct operational control of a substantial FTTH network, enhancing its market position in Polish digital infrastructure. This expansion represents a clear shift from a service provider model to an asset owner and operator. Arcus Infrastructure Partners, a London-based fund manager with c.€19 billion in assets under management, is backing FixMap through its Arcus European Infrastructure Fund 3 SCSp, which closed at €2.8 billion in 2021 with a focus on mid-market digital assets. This investment aligns directly with Arcus's strategy to deploy capital into European digital infrastructure, leveraging FixMap's local market presence and technical capabilities. Skynet, a Skawina-based telecommunications company specializing in fiber optic network construction, provides the operational asset base for FixMap's expansion, with legal counsel provided by Wierciński, Kwieciński Baehr and technical advisory from Veroservice S.r.l. and WEDUIT for the buyer.
