Flow Power signs solar and BESS offtake agreement with Octopus Australia
Flow Power has signed a foundational offtake agreement with Octopus Australia for the Blind Creek Solar Farm and Battery project in New South Wales. The agreement supports the 300 MW solar and 243 MW / 486 MWh battery project, which recently reached financial close. The project is expected to generate enough electricity to power more than 120,000 homes and will create up to 300 jobs at peak. Construction is now under way, with Octopus Australia working with EPC contractor GRS and battery supplier Wärtsilä Energy Storage. The project is designed as an agri-solar project, allowing sheep grazing to continue across the site. The offtake agreement will help underpin the project and bring a firmed offtake model to market.
