FP Lux European Battery Storage Fund, advised by re:cap global investors ag, acquired the 95 MW / 220 MWh Battery Park Alapitkä battery energy storage project in Lapinlahti, Finland. The project, developed by SMA Altenso with local partner Infinergies Finland Oy, will undergo full engineering, procurement, and construction by SMA Altenso, including balance of plant, medium-to-high voltage works, and grid integration. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2026, with commercial operation targeted for 2027. The acquisition expands the fund's European energy storage portfolio alongside a simultaneous 50 MW / 100 MWh project in Freiberg, Germany, where be.storaged will serve as EPC contractor using Sungrow Europe PowerTitan 2.0 technology. Thomas Seibel, CEO of re:cap global investors ag, emphasized the strategic importance of diversifying investments across European markets amid ongoing grid fee discussions in Germany. The deal includes collaboration with be.storaged and MITNETZ STROM for grid connection and substation works, with commercial operations planned for Q2 2027.
