Freshwave partners with Leeds Bradford Airport to deliver all-operator 4G mobile connectivity

Leeds Bradford Airport has partnered with Freshwave to deploy reliable 4G mobile connectivity from all UK mobile network operators across its refurbished terminal and new extension. Freshwave has already connected 85,000 sq ft across three floors of the new terminal extension, including baggage reclaim, food and beverage areas, and retail outlets. This connectivity supports passenger travel apps and staff communication via Push-To-Talk over Cellular (PTToC) radio service. The Omni Network solution is scalable and will be deployed across another 44,000 sq ft of the terminal's extension, covering the new security area. This upgrade is a vital part of future-proofing the airport, which expects passenger numbers to reach seven million by 2030, and enhancing the passenger experience.
