GE Vernova secures 71.5MW onshore wind turbine supply agreements with BBWind and Greenvolt Power for projects in Germany
GE Vernova finalized agreements to supply 71.5MW of onshore wind turbines to BBWind and Greenvolt Power for projects across Germany, with the deals booked in Q4 2025. The transactions include an extension of GE Vernova’s existing collaboration with BBWind, a Münster-based developer specializing in regional community wind projects, and a new partnership with Greenvolt Power. GE Vernova’s German manufacturing operations are supported by its 70,000 square meter facility in Salzbergen, which serves as the anchor for local turbine production. Germany installed 4.6GW of onshore wind capacity in 2025 and has set a target to achieve 80% renewable electricity by 2030, underscoring the strategic importance of these agreements. Gilan Sabatier, GE Vernova’s chief commercial officer for onshore wind international markets, highlighted the trust placed in the company’s turbines to deliver reliable renewable energy solutions.
