Glamox secures supply agreement to provide marine lighting for four Offshore Energy Support Vessels for Sea1 Offshore

Supply Agreement Transport announced Norway Apr 16, 2026

Glamox, a global leader in lighting, secured a supply agreement to provide marine lighting for four Offshore Energy Support Vessels (OESVs) being built for Sea1 Offshore. The contract covers approximately 8,000 marine LED lights, including 2,000 per vessel, with rugged exterior lighting such as watertight explosion-proof luminaires and floodlights, as well as interior lighting for workshops, stores, holds, passageways, crew areas, and quarters. COSCO Shipping (Qidong) Offshore, the EPC contractor, will install the lighting at its yard, with deliveries staggered every three months starting in April 2026 for the first vessel. The OESVs, based on the ST-245 design, are methanol-ready and capable of running on 100% biofuel, aligning with environmental benefits. All four vessels are scheduled for delivery between 2027 and the first half of 2028, supporting offshore energy infrastructure including wind farms, oil and gas platforms, and subsea installations.
