Glocal Green and Heidelberg Materials ink green methanol bunkering station deal in Brevik

Glocal Green and Heidelberg Materials have agreed to establish a green methanol bunkering station at the Brevik Terminal in Grenland Havn, Norway. This agreement is a crucial step in developing the Norwegian green methanol market, addressing the challenge of availability and infrastructure for methanol as a low-emission alternative in shipping and industry. The facility will support the reception, storage, distribution, and bunkering of green methanol, bringing together demand, logistics, and fuel availability. Heidelberg Materials, as a major cargo owner, is facilitating investments in sustainable maritime transport through this purchase agreement and the establishment of the bunkering station, making green methanol more accessible for other shipowners and stakeholders. Glocal Green plans to develop similar infrastructure in additional coastal locations as market growth and demand for green methanol increase.
