The project will be a one-story data center spanning 288,000 sq ft (26,756 sqm). The investment will include the core, shell, and interior finish out, as well as site improvements. The construction project began in late January 2026. Google originally bought 375 acres and later acquired another 165-acre tract for further development at its Midlothian campus. Google launched a Texas cloud region in Dallas in June 2022. Google is also developing a second Texas campus in the Red Oak area of Dallas. In November 2025, Google revealed it would spend $40bn to expand its cloud and AI infrastructure in Texas through 2027, including expansion in Ellis County and new campuses in Armstrong and Haskell Counties.
