Gotion High-Tech, Green Power Morocco and Chery Heavy Trucks launch 2,000-km electric freight corridor between Morocco and France
Gotion High-Tech, Green Power Morocco and Chery Heavy Trucks jointly launched the Morocco-France Electric Logistics Corridor, a 2,000-kilometer electric freight route connecting Morocco and France. The partnership integrates electric trucks, battery swapping infrastructure and digital fleet management systems to decarbonize cross-continental freight operations. Green Power Morocco will supply renewable energy to power the corridor’s charging and swapping stations, while Chery Heavy Trucks provides electric truck models optimized for long-haul logistics. Gotion High-Tech supplies battery systems and swapping technology designed for rapid turnaround in freight operations. The initiative targets a 40% reduction in carbon emissions for freight transport between the two countries by 2030, with pilot operations slated to begin in Q3 2026. Regulatory approvals for cross-border infrastructure are currently under review by Moroccan and French transport authorities.
