Granada awards 6 MW / 3.727 MWh solar PV and battery storage project to Maracof for Ecocentral recycling plant

The Provincial Council of Granada has awarded Maracof a 4.26 million euro project to develop a 6 MW solar photovoltaic plant with 3.727 MWh of battery storage for Ecocentral's recycling facility. The project, located at the Loma de Manzanares landfill in Alhendín, will utilize 10,000 monocrystalline n-type bifacial modules from JA Solar and 50 Huawei inverters, with a BESS system comprising 10 lithium-ion battery racks. This infrastructure deal is financed by the European Union's NextGenerationEU program as part of Spain's Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.
