Green Genius, a Lithuanian IPP, has commissioned its 120.8MW solar project in Jekabpils region, Latvia. The facility comprises 183,000 solar modules, supported by 312 inverters and 11 transformer substations. The project represents a €96 million investment and is the largest of its kind in the Baltic States by installed capacity at a single site. A 50MW/100MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) is also under construction, which will convert the site into a hybrid energy hub. The project is expected to generate approximately 140 GWh of green electricity per year.
