GreenWay partners with E.ON and Voltix to develop megawatt charging network

GreenWay Polska, E.ON, and Voltix have announced a partnership to develop a cross-border megawatt charging network across Europe. This initiative, part of the HDV-E infrastructure project, aims to deploy approximately 330 megawatt charging points by autumn 2028. The collaboration leverages GreenWay Polska's expertise as an EV charging infrastructure provider, E.ON's experience as a major European energy company focused on energy networks and renewables, and Voltix's role as a developer, to address the growing demand for high-power charging solutions for heavy-duty electric vehicles (HDVs). The partnership is strategically important for accelerating the electrification of the transportation sector, particularly for long-haul trucking and logistics. By establishing a robust megawatt charging network, the project aims to overcome a key barrier to HDV adoption: the lack of adequate charging infrastructure. This deal signifies a commitment to facilitating the energy transition and supporting the decarbonization goals of the European Union. The involvement of established players like E.ON and GreenWay Polska lends credibility and scale to the project, increasing its potential for success.
