Hindustan Power secures 100 MW AC solar PPA with Punjab State Power Corp. Ltd. in Punjab
Hindustan Power, an integrated energy company in India, secured a 100 MW AC solar power project through a tariff-based competitive bidding process followed by a successful e-reverse auction. The project, located in Punjab, will require the installation of approximately 140–150 MWp of solar capacity to meet the AC output requirement. Under the terms of the agreement, Hindustan Power will enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Punjab State Power Corp. Ltd., ensuring long-term revenue visibility and supporting the state's clean energy supply. The project is expected to be commissioned within 24 months from the effective date of the PPA, aligning with Hindustan Power's strategy to expand its renewable energy portfolio in Punjab. Ratul Puri, chairman of Hindustan Power, highlighted the project's alignment with competitive pricing and execution capabilities, emphasizing its contribution to the state's energy mix and operational footprint.
