IFM Investors acquires full ownership of Nala Renewables from Trafigura Renewables
IFM Investors agreed to acquire the remaining 50% equity interest in Nala Renewables from Trafigura Renewables, securing full ownership of the renewable energy platform. The transaction, expected to close in mid-2026 pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, transfers control of a 2 GW portfolio spanning solar PV, onshore wind, and battery energy storage assets primarily located in selected European markets. Nala Renewables operates with in-house capabilities across the project lifecycle, including development, construction, and operations. The deal marks IFM Investors' commitment to accelerating the energy transition through a best-in-class renewable platform, building on Trafigura Renewables' six-year partnership that helped establish Nala as a leading renewable energy platform. Neil Doherty, Executive Director at IFM Investors, highlighted the value of Trafigura's partnership and the dedication of the Nala team in driving the platform's growth.
