Intel and Google expand AI infrastructure partnership with multiyear CPU and IPU agreement

Intel and Google Cloud expanded their AI infrastructure partnership with a multiyear agreement focused on CPUs and custom Infrastructure Processing Units (IPUs). The collaboration deepens co-development of ASIC-based IPUs designed to offload networking, storage, and security functions from host CPUs, addressing system-level bottlenecks in large-scale AI deployments.
