Jakson Infra secured a $62.22 million engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning (EPC) contract from Angola’s Ministry of Energy & Water to rehabilitate the power distribution network in Luanda City. The project, part of the World Bank-supported Electricity Sector Improvement and Access Project, aims to enhance electricity reliability and access across Angola’s capital by modernizing the distribution infrastructure. The contract covers end-to-end execution, including design, supply, installation, and commissioning of distribution network systems, with a focus on improving grid resilience and expanding energy access. Jakson Infra, an infrastructure EPC company specializing in power transmission, distribution, and civil infrastructure, will deliver turnkey solutions for the rehabilitation effort. The project aligns with Angola’s broader strategy to expand electricity access and modernize its energy infrastructure, addressing long-standing reliability challenges in the capital’s power distribution network.
