Jalisco’s Energy Agency and Serfimex Capital sign financing agreement for 1 billion pesos to develop solar and battery storage projects
The Energy Agency of Jalisco and Serfimex Capital formalized a 1 billion peso financing agreement to support solar photovoltaic and battery storage projects in Mexico’s Jalisco state. The collaboration targets industrial, commercial, and hospitality sectors, with Serfimex Capital structuring financial schemes for solar systems starting at 1 million pesos and up to 0.7 MW, while battery storage projects have no monetary cap. Serfimex Capital will design and place financing options with zero down payment and repayment terms extending to 72 months, alongside a platform for technical and financial scenario modeling per project. The agreement was signed during RE+ México 2026 in Expo Guadalajara, with Jalisco’s Secretary of Sustainable Energy Development, Manuel Jesús Herrera Vega, present as an honorary witness. Jalisco currently accounts for 15% of Mexico’s distributed solar capacity, with over 658 MW installed and 90,000 interconnection contracts, while more than 1,200 companies operate in the state’s energy value chain.
