The framework will start this month (February 2026) and run for six years from 2026-2032 through RIS3 and the start of RIS4. The framework enables the delivery of legacy concrete roads reconstruction schemes across the Strategic Road Network (SRN). Legacy concrete roads currently account for approximately 5% of the SRN in England. The framework scope includes: Design and construction services for the demolishment of existing pavements, and reconstruction of pavements; Design and delivery of associated temporary traffic management solutions; Performing principal designer and principal contractor duties; Carbon capture recording and reporting; Recovering, recycling and reusing arisings during the delivery of a scheme - keeping the programme’s carbon footprint to a minimum and contributing to the circular economy.
