KNESS Baltic to supply 55 MWh of battery storage to Latvian solar parks
KNESS Baltic signed a supply agreement to deliver 55 MWh of battery energy storage systems to Latvian solar parks, marking its first large-scale storage deployment in Latvia. The agreement covers the provision of turnkey battery storage solutions designed to enhance grid stability and maximize renewable energy integration for the solar parks. KNESS Baltic, a subsidiary of KNESS Group specializing in energy storage and renewable integration, will supply lithium-ion battery systems optimized for high-cycle applications. The project is expected to commence delivery in 2026, aligning with Latvia’s renewable energy expansion targets under the EU Green Deal framework. This deal strengthens KNESS Baltic’s position in the Baltic energy storage market, where it competes with regional players like Green Genius and EBRD-backed developers.
